About Lori Webster Cooking

Lori Webster Cooking, based in Malibu, CA is a personalized cooking school offering hands-on, in-home Private Cooking and Baking Lessons, Cooking Parties, Corporate Team Building, Kitchen and Pantry Consultations and Menu Planning, using organic, local and seasonal ingredients as available.

A weekly Sunday tradition, Lori’s passion for cooking and baking began as a child in New York while visiting her maternal grandmother “Nonny” with her mother and sisters. Together, they would gather vegetables from her garden, bake bread and pizza, and prepare traditional Italian dishes. The rich aroma of Nonny’s food filled the house with family and neighbors alike.

Lori’s paternal grandmother, “Nanny Marge” also taught her to cook. In spite of her Italian heritage, Nanny Marge perfected brisket, potato latkes and an endless array of foods she learned to prepare to please her husband and his family, émigrés from Russia.

Now, with a family of her own, Lori calls Southern California home. It gives her tremendous joy to share her love of cooking with her family and friends. Cooking lessons for Lori began as a way to inspire friends to cook some of her favorite dishes and instill confidence in the busy home chef.

Lori received her culinary training at the New School of Cooking in Culver City, CA. Prior to her cooking profession, Lori was a management consultant in the financial services sector of KPMG, a global professional service company. She is also a graduate of the University of Massachusetts, Amherst.

Through her love for food and culinary expertise, combined with her consulting and organizational skills, Lori Webster Cooking brings a unique, holistic perspective to cooking and spending time in the kitchen.
